Our R&D department regularly develops new concepts that meet the specific needs of the market or our customers.
A preliminary project - composed of the first sketches, a cost estimate, a cost plan, a performance grid and a schedule - is presented at a management meeting, then validated by the project manager in agreement with the management. The project will then come to life thanks to the review and assistance of all the specialized technical departments that can be mobilized within Baumert, then by validation after the various test milestones that we submit to it.
The Engineering office ensures the industrialization of the products developed by the R&D department, as well as the documentation associated with the products that is adapted to the formalism required by the customer. 40 qualified engineers and technicians transform innovation into a tailor-made product adapted to the performance and documentation requirements specific to each customer.
Baumert regularly uses numerical calculations and simulations, in particular to validate the performances of its products or the mechanical resistance of certain parts as early as the design phase.
Simulation thus allows engineering teams to accelerate product development. Structural, thermal, vibratory studies, etc. of course make it possible to improve the quality of the parts before the start of manufacturing. But it also allows us to obtain the first results of conclusive tests in preparation for the qualification of our doors, for example for anti-explosion, bulletproof or mechanical resistance performances.
