The sustainable development of our society is our priority. It is enriched by the balance between the social, environmental and economic requirements of our activities and is an integral part of the value of the actions implemented every day.
Baumert is committed to a CSR approach based on the Sustainable Development Goals, a new comprehensive and sustainable CSR framework that sets the global framework of priorities for 2030.
Baumert assessed the contribution of its mission and its social and environmental initiatives to these SDGs. Baumert's materiality analysis highlighted 6 priority issues and 2 commitments that we have grouped here into 4 main themes.
The very core of our business is to protect the people and infrastructures of our customers and to limit their exposure to:
This daily vigilance gives our customers the assurance of having protected and safe sites. To do this, we regularly conduct analyses, training and exercises according to rules defined by the Safety, Security and Crisis Management function.
In addition, Baumert teams are aware of nuclear safety. This level of requirement has been rewarded with the ISO 19443 certification.

The safety of our employees is our priority. In addition to the mandatory wearing of PPE, training actions to reduce risks related to health at work have been deployed in order to reduce accidents and train our employees in gestures and postures and chemical risks.
Finally, in order to ensure the well-being of its employees and retain them, Baumert has begun work to build a new head office and to renovate the factory.
Baumert strives to limit the environmental impact of its activities on its Schaeffersheim site while promoting sustainable practices in terms of sourcing and optimizing natural resources in compliance with local regulations, in France and abroad.
From the moment they are designed, we strive to reduce the environmental impact of our products throughout their life cycle, while maintaining and/or improving their quality.
At each stage of the life cycle of our products and services (design, manufacturing, transport, installation on site, waste treatment), we are committed to:
In addition, we are developing technologies to limit the number of transports for the shipment and delivery of our products to customer sites.

Baumert uses its know-how to offer reliable and quality solutions to its customers and is committed to acting in an irreproachable and fair manner with its stakeholders. Baumert has set up a Anti-Corruption Code of Conduct and makes its employees aware of the ethical behaviors to adopt as soon as they are integrated.
In particular, this leads us to:
Baumert wants to collaborate with suppliers who share the same desire as its own in this field and build a balanced relationship with its partners, based on trust and over time.
We require our suppliers to adhere to labor standards and ethical rules of a similar level as stipulated in our responsible purchasing policy. In particular, we expect our suppliers to comply with the fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organization and local legislation, in particular with regard to minimum wages, working hours, health and safety. Audits can be carried out on sites, thus allowing rigorous monitoring of their commitments. Social and health/safety audits can also be carried out, in order to validate the selection of new entrepreneurs and contribute to the development of good practices among existing suppliers.
In addition, Baumert and a supplier can agree on complementary standards in their contractual relationships.

As part of its CSR approach, Baumert has just won the first sign of recognition of its commitment, an Ecovadis “Committed” badge.
For its first EcoVadis evaluation process, our management system is recognized as solid enough to cover CSR criteria, and with a score of 55/100, Baumert is recognized as a “Committed Company”, indicating an “adapted” performance according to the EcoVadis methodology.
