Health, Safety and Wellbeing at work
The safety of our employees is an operational priority. Beyond the mandatory wearing of personal protective equipment, Baumert deploys continuous training programmes on risk prevention, manual handling and ergonomics, and exposure to chemical hazards. The objective is to reduce accident risk and to give every employee the means to work safely.
Reducing environmental impact
Baumert takes into account the environmental impact of its activities at every stage of its products’ lifecycle, from design, manufacturing and transport to on-site installation and waste treatment. At the Schaeffersheim site, this translates into measurable actions to reduce energy consumption, limit discharges into water, air and soil, and decrease waste volumes generated. When our products reach end of life, our life extension programme enables them to be refurbished rather than replaced, thereby reducing the impact of new manufacturing.
Ethics and stakeholder relations
Our Anti-Corruption Code of Conduct is provided to every employee from day one and applies across all our activities. It prohibits all forms of corruption and extortion, bans anti-competitive agreements and requires the declaration of any conflict of interest to competent authorities.
These requirements also extend to our partners and suppliers, selected for their ability to comply with the fundamental Conventions of the International Labour Organisation and to guarantee high standards in health, safety and ethics, in line with our own requirements.
Compliance with these commitments may be subject to regular audits to ensure their conformity and continuity over time.
