Several European standards govern the resistance of doors to the effects of explosion.Standard EN 13123-2 defines the classification principles and resistance levels of structures subjected to explosive loads, while standard EN 13124-2 specifies the test methods for reproducing these loadings under controlled conditions.On sites storing explosive materials, defence installations or zones exposed to major industrial risks, equipment must be designed to withstand the overpressure effects generated by an explosion.
