Security

As threats grow more targeted, critical sites demand security solutions commensurate with the risk.

Security has never been more critical or more complex. As threats multiply and intensify, protecting assets and people demands solutions calibrated to the most acute risks. Anti-intrusion, ballistic protection, blast resistance: Baumert defines the required performance levels and qualifies every solution to specification.
Intrusion and break-in risk
European standard EN 1627 is the reference for anti-intrusion doors. It classifies doors according to their resistance level, based on the time and means required to force the opening. From CR1 to CR6, each class corresponds to a precise attack scenario.Baumert qualifies its equipment against client-defined scenarios.
Ballistic protection

In the face of growing risks linked to terrorism and armed conflict, protecting institutional buildings and strategic sites against ballistic threats has become a genuine operational requirement. Baumert’s bulletproof doors and partitions are certified to the classes required by the client.Ballistic resistance is defined by EN 1522-1523, which governs both  test conditions and  resistance levels.

Blast protection and blast resistance

Several European standards govern the resistance of doors to the effects of explosion.Standard EN 13123-2 defines the classification principles and resistance levels of structures subjected to explosive loads, while standard EN 13124-2 specifies the test methods for reproducing these loadings under controlled conditions. On sites storing explosive materials, defence installations or zones exposed to major industrial risks, equipment must be designed to withstand the overpressure effects generated by an explosion. This blast pressure is defined from precise scenarios incorporating the type of explosion, the standoff distance and room configuration. In this context, Baumert qualifies its equipment on pressure spectra representative of real exposure conditions. The most demanding access solutions developed reach resistance levels of up to 50 bars of blast pressure. These performances were developed to specification for critical environments such as munitions destruction centres.

Our products

At Baumert, a door is never designed to meet just one requirement. Our solutions can combine up to seven protective functions within a single door: fire resistance, blast resistance, ballistic protection, burglary resistance, radiation shielding, containment, and airtightness.

Seismic resistance forms the foundation of all our developments, enabling our products to meet the most demanding requirements of critical environments.
