Baumert’s standard catalogue addresses a broad range of common requirements for critical sites. When performance requirements, dimensional constraints or protection functions become more complex, our design office engineers bespoke solutions. As a specialist in multi-requirement doors, Baumert develops equipment tailored to the specific constraints of each installation, ensuring compliance with applicable reference frameworks and standards.

Our team of 35 engineers and technicians transforms requirements into qualified, fully traceable door solutions, regardless of the number of performance requirements involved.We take full responsibility for the entire design process: Requirements analysis, performance definition, preliminary design with cost estimate, and execution drawings. All dimensional complexities or the combination of simultaneous requirements are covered, including seismic and fire resistance, blast protection and sealing, radiation shielding and mechanical resistance.Several of our engineers have received training in the United States on modern protective structures. This expertise, combined with continuous technology monitoring and the systematic leveraging of field feedback, enables us to provide robust answers to the most demanding safety challenges. Our engineers work with AutoCAD, Inventor Professional and SolidWorks for design studies, and ANSYS and LS-DYNA for dynamic simulation and resistance analyses.
R&D and digital simulation
Our R&D department draws on the cumulative experience of all its projects to develop innovative, reliable and durable solutions.Digital simulation campaigns, dynamic calculations and seismic resistance analyses are carried out in advance of physical tests in order to predict equipment behaviour, validate design choices and optimise dimensioning. These studies guide qualification campaigns, reduce technical risks from the earliest project phases, and limit the number of iterations, thereby contributing to shorter qualification timelines.
For projects in regulated environments, the quality documentation is established from the design phase onward, including the Quality Plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), and manufacturing and installation procedures.

For projects in regulated environments, the quality file starts from the design phase onwards, including a quality plan, inspection and test plan, manufacturing and assembly procedures.Over and above manufacturing, Baumert acts as owner's engineer,  advising project owners with independent technical expertise including, : scoping of technical requirements, liaising with safety authorities, and documentary compliance monitoring throughout the project cycle. This support proves decisive on major projects where contractual and regulatory and technical complexity are equally demanding.Standards evolve, and so do projects. Our operational agility allows us to integrate evolving requirements during execution, without compromising the overall project programme.
