The American company Southern Nuclear has built the first two nuclear reactors in the United States in the last thirty years, located in the state of Georgia.
Vogtle 3&4 are the first two reactors to feature AP1000 technology.
This project also marks the first nuclear power plant to be built in the United States in over 30 years.
Baumert was selected to manufacture all:
- partition systems,
- walls,
- doors,
- and protection for cable transits and ventilation ducts for the reactor and auxiliary buildings.

To simplify the installation of the firewalls, Baumert introduced an innovative technical solution: multiple panels made from fire-resistant materials with a metallic finish.
